The series ended its first season on 11 April 2009, and is expected to return for its 2nd season within 3 months. On 9 February 2012, ZEE TV reported that Naaginn 2 will be postponed due to IPL therefore setting March 2012 as the launching month. Contents. Plot The show is based on a tale of an naagin (a female snake who can change form at will) named Amrita. She transforms herself into a woman to take revenge from the Singh family, which had killed her parents (king and queen of the Naag or snake community) to get the valuable Naagmani (snake gem). While dying, the queen naaginn instructs Amrita to take revenge from the killers and get back the naagmani in their community so that she can give back life to her parents. In order to fulfill the wish of her dying naagin mother, Amrita transforms herself into a human being to take revenge. And then she gets married into the same family whose members had killed her parents.

Meanwhile, Ronit (Ronit Roy) and Neelam (Neelam Sagar) are a newly married couple who are going to the forests of Shimago for their honeymoon. Due to the fog on the mountains, Ronit is about to drive off the cliff when Vaishnavi manages to stop him and direct him to the right road. Ronit and Neelam reach their destination but are disappointed as the caretaker of their bungalow is not there.
They are surprised to meet Vaishnavi there, who tells them that she is the caretaker's daughter. Vaishnavi makes dinner for them. Neelam asks her how she lives alone in the forest. Vaishnavi tells her that she is not afraid of the jungle or the snakes. Late that night, Ronit sees a girl dancing. The next morning they are surprised when they come to know that the caretaker has no daughter.
He tells Ronit and Neelam that the girl, who had helped them and was dancing at night, must have been the 'Ichchadhari' snake which can take the form of a human.
